Triumf in Singapore

Singapore.png

Singapore is definitely one of the leaders in the uptake of digital health innovations. I was honored to represent Triumf Health and our mHealth paltform for children in Singapore at Slush, to stakeholders including doctors and on the ministry level and at the TechInnovation technology expo, part of Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology. Keep on reading to learn more about our adventures as part of the Finnish healthtech delegation in Singapore!

First, I was one of the panelists at Slush Singapore and had the possibility to discuss about science and entrepreneurship. It was truly a privilege to be part of the discussion with co-panelists and investors Julien Mialaret and Sang Han. The panel was led by a wonderful moderator Sakeena Tan. If you are interested in learning more about the topic then have a look at their Youtube channel. Also, I especially liked their slogan this year that said the following: "We don't want you to learn something. We want you to change something.". I think it really captures the essence of startup life beautifully.

I participated in a meeting with IHiS Singapore - Integrated Health Information Systems. IHiS presentation to Finnish delegation was absolutely eye opening as the focus point of their national healthcare is on patient engagement and activity and on behavioral medicine more generally. This really encouraged us to proceed with our journey in Singapore. Especially since they also have started a War on Diabetes in Singapore. Furthermore, presicion medicine is really a hot topic in Singapore at the moment. We also heard a precision medicine in Singapore presentation that was delivered by one of the global leaders in genomics Professor Patrick Tan.

My schedule in Singapore was rather packed with various events. The delegation visit was truly wonderfully organized. For example, I was able to pitch two evenings in a row - to investors and to stakeholders and received wonderful feedback and we got many good leads. And most importantly, I had some meetings with customers that went really well. Fingers crossed for our solution to be available in Singapore soon!

As part of the Icory consortium, I gave a presentation to doctors from National University Hospital - NUH and KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

One of the key events that resulted in significant traction for us was the TechInnovation expo. I gave several interviews and gave an overview of our mobile health platform to investors and potential customers. Also, check out Embassy of Finland in Singapore FB posting about TechInnovation.

More stories from Singapore soon! As we are part of the Icory consortium, we will soon start the pilot study in one of the hospitals in Singapore among kids who need to undergo surgery.
