Job description

Your central role as our Head of Research is to lead our R&D process in deciding which areas are worthy of future research, and starting projects to look into them. You are our central team member in charge of preparing, executing, and following up any R&D efforts.

Your key responsibilities

  • Being in charge of the research plan in a way that business goals are met. Thorough knowledge on previous research is required. Updating the team on current research and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place.

  • Thorough knowledge of methodology and market trends is needed, e.g. participation in market research (industry, company, and competitor analysis).

  • Participating in communication and negotiating on the content to be used in the product. Mainly concerns negotiations with universities and research organizations for us to be able to use some of their created IP in our product if needed (e.g. questionnaires). Additionally, participating in preparation of necessary documentation regarding any ethical issues related to research. Involves collaboration with ethical committees.

  • Participating in game design from the research perspective. Being in charge of improvements in content to meet customer needs and adjust to advances in research and methodology. Being in charge that proper adjustments are made to the specifications to reflect recent research-based knowledge.

  • Leading and conducting in-depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods of both qualitative and quantitative methodology. This task is related to combining quantitative user behavior data from the application and qualitative data gathered from user interviews and requires close collaboration with colleagues.

  • Setting up a pipeline on how to prepare, set up, and analyze the data. Interpreting the data, presenting the findings, and producing recommendations are part of this task. Leading the monitoring of customer behavior based on this data. Participating in preparing midstream modifications when appropriate, and delivering accurate and meaningful data and regular updates to current and desired stakeholders.

  • Participating in grant writing process and being in charge of the proposals from a research perspective.

  • Participating in developing the research-based consumer value proposition.

  • Attending industry events such as conferences and providing feedback and information to team members. Introducing our values and mission to other researchers.

  • Communicating with (potential) collaborators and negotiating when collaboration would support our research goals.

  • Obtaining new skills and knowledge in the area and attending events, lectures, seminars and workshops when possible.

  • Ensuring all team members represent the company in the best light from the research perspective.

Job requirements

  • PhD in Psychology, or a similar field (e.g. health and wellbeing)

  • Experience in leading research collaborations

  • A passion for problem solving, and driving simple but effective processes

  • High desire to complete assignments autonomously, but in close collaboration with a broader team

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Curious, independent, rigorous and proactive mindset

Who we are

Triumf Health has developed an evidence-based digital therapeutics platform for children to deliver personalized psychological support through a game environment. We have started from chronic illnesses and the mental burden related to disease management but have significantly expanded the platform in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the mobile platform is also supporting children without health issues who are experiencing environmental stress (currently due to the coronavirus crisis).
