Let’s make mental health care a reality for all

On February 15-16, 2022, Triumf Health was one of over 150 participants from Europe in attendance at the WHO’s regional technical consultation on the implementation of the European Framework for Action on Mental Health 2021-2025 (EFAMH) through the pan-European Mental Health Coalition.
For two days, speakers, panellists and moderators from all over Pan-Europe representing ministries, NGOs, and other mental health organizations addressed some of the most pressing topics in mental health at present. The organizations included: WHO, WHO Regional Office for Europe, Euro Youth Mental Health, Changing Minds Globally, MIELI Mental Health Finland, and UNICEF. Topics of discussion included child, youth and adolescent mental health, wellbeing, mental health services, mental health innovation, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. These topics resonated exactly with the work that we at Triumf Health are doing and have been doing for nearly six years.
In addition to providing inspiration, ideas and connections for future collaboration, the talks given provided validation for the work being done in each country and by every organization. We at Triumf Health very much felt this. In a country (Estonia) where the ministry did not have a department of mental health until just last month, and mental health in general has not been given very much attention until the pandemic, Triumf Health has been a trailblazer. Not only by creating digital mental health innovation to support the mental health and wellbeing of children, but also more recently beginning to design process innovation which aims to standardize new digital mental health solutions and innovations; this is something that other countries in Europe have already been working on but had not yet been done in Estonia. All the while, we have continued being advocates and champions of mental health, in Estonia and beyond.
In a world full of complicated issues during a very complicated time, it is so very important to stick together with those who make you feel good. And within the working world, it is so very important to find those organizations that have the same passions and drives as you. Being a part of the WHO’s Pan-European Coalition meeting, we at Triumf Health felt good, passionate, and driven. We look forward to new and continuing collaborations with various countries and organizations in the Pan-European Region. And we will continue championing mental health in Estonia and beyond, especially children’s mental health and mental health innovation.
